At the Users Conference in February, there was mention of RDK/G - a variation of the RDK platform for use in Cable Modem type devices.  Do you have more information you can share on RDK/G plans, availability, etc?

  1. From the Users Conference notes, it looks like RDK/G as discussed then may have been renamed to RDK-B or RDK-Broadband.  Anyway, the question remains - is this platform released and available for download?

  2. Hi Kevin,
I am also interested in knowing. There is not much info on RDK-B in term of development, but it is mentioned in the 2014 RDK RoadMap for a possible release in Q4.

  3. I heard that RDK-B is going to have Cable modem and gateway features based on current RDK  If i heard it correctly,  i guess that it can be used for video and gateway product. I also would like to know about this.  In addition, do anyone know about which product or manufacturer is going to apply it to their product first ?

  4. Are there any training slides for RDK-B?

  5. Hi All

RDK-B (Broadband) is currently in the early stages of development and focused on data services delivered via standalone DOCSIS Cable Modems.  RDK-B is not yet a formally licenseable product from the RDKM, LLC. We expect that to happen sometime in 2015, after the code has been field tested, provided to the RDKM, LLC, and the training and community support tools (documentation, emulator, test solution, etc.) are in place to support its use by the broader RDK community.   As such, we aren’t able to provide more details or training about RDK-B at this time.  As these actions occur, we will provide updates to the community on availability.

    Regards,

    RDK Support

  6. Hi Mr. Ajay Singh

Would you please update the current status of RDK-B?
Recently I got the information of yocto-poky build of RDK-B based Cisco CCSP Architecture.
But it doesn't have enough information for porting to the other gateway platforms.
I was trying to build but there were the problems with dependencies of platform.
(Actually I'm doing something using intel_usg, rdkb-arm configuration with below git source
