Creating the Environment

If not already present, create the PROD environment.

Steps

  1. Go to the Common menu and select Environment.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Enter PROD for Id.
  4. Add a description.
  5. Select Save.

Creating the Model

Create model MODELXYZ.

Steps

  1. Go to the Common menu and select Model.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Enter MODELXYZ for Id.
  4. Add a description.
  5. Select Save.

Creating the Firmware Template

Create a firmware template for model and environment.

Steps

  1. Go to the Firmware menu and select Firmware Templates.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Enter ENV_MODEL_RULE for ID.
  4. The priority is automatically set.
  5. Enter env and select the IS operator.  Click on "+" to add this condition.
  6. Enter model and select the IS operator.  Click on "+" to add this condition.
  7. Select Save.

Creating the Firmware Config

Create a firmware configuration for MODELXYZ.

Steps

  1. Go to the Firmware menu and select Firmware Configs.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Enter a description for this config.  It will be used in the rule.
  4. Enter a file name for the firmware image.
  5. Enter a version for the firmware.
  6. Select MODELXYZ.
  7. Select Save.

Creating the Firmware Rule

Create a firmware rule for the firmware configuration.

Steps

  1. Go to the Firmware menu and select Firmware Rules.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Select ENV_MODEL_RULE.
  4. Enter a name for the rule.
  5. Select the env condition.
  6. Click in the value box and select PROD.
  7. Select "+" to update the condition.
  8. Select the model condition.
  9. Click in the value box and select MODELXYZ.
  10. Select "+" to update the condition.
  11. Click in the Firmware Config box and select the firmware config from the drop-down menu.
  12. Select Save.
