  1. Hi ZhangDingjiu ,

The firmware upgrade with highest/lowest version can be done using xconf in RDK-B.

Here device will send curl request to XCONF and XCONF will send firmware config info(protocol, firmware location, firmware version,etc..) to device . Then it will process the response and based on the protocol it will download from TFTP/HTTP/HTTPS server using upgrade scripts.

Once image download completed successfully, then only the device will go for auto reboot and come up with downloaded image.

Please let me know whether this answers your query

    1. Hi Priyankaa K V B

Thanks for your answers firstly, from your comments the task sequence is

      1. download image
      2. auto reboot
      3. come up with downloaded image

my concern is once come up with downloaded image failed can Device could restart with original image?

      Thanks in advance.

      1. Hi ZhangDingjiu ,

If i understand correctly , the question here is if the image is downloaded successfully from server to your device( /extblock/httpimage/imagedwnldls) and device goes for reboot . When device comes up , if image has some failure to come up then will it revert to original image . Is this right ?

If so , no the device will not restart with original image if there are some failure with downloaded image coming up .
