I heard that CVP-2 implementation will be supported with RDK in Sep. 2014.

    Hi Jon,

      It is still work in progress, will discuss with LLC M and update you as soon as we will hear back the actual release date of CVP-2 feature in RDK.

    Will this be based on the Rygel/GUPnP/GStreamer work done by CableLabs or some other implementation?

    Commercial solutions are already available for VidiPath Client and Server. While it is good to consider RDK delivering this piece in the long end, if your expectation is time to market, I would recommend you that you contact one of the vendors.

    I agree with Olivier, that commercial solutions could be your best route for time to market. A number of them were displayed at the Cable Show in April 2014 and can be found on YouTube.

      Hi Joby,

      Do not hesitate for an evaluation of commercial solutions, this is your quickest (and only) road for a VidiPath certification-ready solution. Commercial solution will also be the only one to provide viable end user experience for subscribers for a long time to go.
