Introduction

This Release Notes document details on the delivery version M1 for the RDK Reference Platform-R-Pi to the RDK Community

Release Information

Below are the list of release features supporting R-Pi platform

Hardware and Software Requirements

Supported software and hardware

  • Raspberry PI 3 target board
  • Preferred 2.4GHZ WIFI adapter for Emulator: Tenda 150Mbps Wireless PICO USB Adapter with RT5370 chipset (W311MI)
  • Preferred 5GHZ WIFI adapter for Emulator:  TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (Archer T4U)
  • Ethernet cable to check LAN client
  • Desktop PCs
  • Krogoth Branch

Known Issues and Limitations

  • Bridge mode feature: When Bridge to router mode is changed, the SSID broadcasted is unable to connect with client device. This issue is not regularly observed
    but able to reproduce 3 out of 5 times
  • Xfinity Hotspot: At Offshore it is observed that with a particular wan IP of R-Pi able to conect with the remote dhcp server and admin page is get displayed in the clinet device  
  • Advanced config - Remote Management - Set Device.UserInterface.X_CISCO_COM_RemoteAccess.Enable to false. Then, set it to true. In WebUI, when we update HTTP port with a new port number, it does not get updated through dmcli. i.e dmcli eRT getvalues Device.X_CISCO_COM_DeviceControl.HTTPPort does not return newly updated value. As a result, not able to access WebUI through HTTP port at all.
  • Remote Management: Only HTTP support is available to community and HTTPS support is not available for community as it is bound to ssl certificates
  • Demo video is available for remote management only and rest of the feature demo videos will be uploaded shortly
