Hardware and Software Requirements

Supported software and hardware

  • Raspberry PI 3 target board
  • Preferred 2.4GHZ WIFI adapter for Emulator: Tenda 150Mbps Wireless PICO USB Adapter with RT5370 chipset (W311MI)
  • Preferred 5GHZ WIFI adapter for Emulator:  TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (Archer T4U)
  • USB to Ethernet
  • Desktop PCs
  • Krogoth/Morty Branch
  • MPEG2 Licence - To play mpeg2 format.

Known Issues and Limitations

    • Whether RemoteAccess.Enable is true or false, webui is always accessible through HTTP and HTTPS ports in Emulator (Morty Issue)
    • After disabling bridge mode in RPI, when  in router mode, private ssid is broadcasted but not able to connect to it. This happens 3/5 times.(Morty/Krogoth)
    • When in bridge mode (RDK Emulator), wired client does not get IP. So, not able to get webui. However, dmcli Lanmode shows bridge mode is set and private wifi is turned off.
    • WPE Webprocess will crash when try to launch 3D graphics URL's as VMplayer hardware GPU not support
    • Containerization are tested locally and waiting for LGI to merge changes
