Join RDK

If you would like to access all RDK components, you will need an RDK license agreement as several components have not been moved to the Apache license.

To begin, complete the fields in the form on the right side of this page.

The next step is to complete RDK licensing agreements. Please note that you have to sign the RDK licensing agreement to get access to the RDK licensed components and related documentation. After you sign the RDK licensing agreements additional employees can be added to the RDK release notification list.

If you are building a device for a specific MVPD, additional agreements may be required to access any proprietary software developed by that MVPD.

Once these steps are completed, we will provide you with full access to the RDK software bundle. This includes the source code, object code, and binaries for appropriate components and documentation on how to use this bundle.

To enhance your RDK commitment, consider joining our ASP and MSP initiatives.

Here we describe how community members and developers can access RDK source code and join the RDK membership programs.

Open Source RDK

RDK is an open source code project distributed through industry standard open source licenses e.g. Apache 2.0. The RDK source code can be accessed from the RDK Code Management Facility at RDK Central Gerrit. Read only access is also available at the RDK GitHub mirror. RDK documentation is open and available to all at the RDK Central Wiki. RDK Wiki also hosts open-to-all community forums to discuss anything RDK.

RDK License

While most of the RDK components are available as described above, a handful of components are distributed under the free RDK License Agreement.

To obtain the RDK License Agreement, please fill in the form on the right side of this page and click submit. Upon full execution of the agreement, you will be provided access to the RDK source code components. Please contact RDK Management at info@rdkcentral.com in case you need more information.

Advanced Support Program

The Advanced Support Program or ASP, was developed in response to requests from community members for shared development, training and testing tools. The program leverages RDK expertise across the community to develop new tools, enhance training materials and lower individual costs for developmentenhanced support & collaboration. Membership provides access to advanced tools, expert technical guidance, training, advanced documentation, avenues for collaboration and invites to the RDK member conferences. ASP members collaborate closely within the RDK eco-system on evolving RDK technology.

The ASP is modeled on leading open source project membership programs. To join, please submit the completed membership agreement. Please check http://rdkcentral.com/asp/ for additional information. You may also email asp@rdkcentral.com to join or get more detailed information.

Media Sponsorship Program

The Media Sponsorship Program or MSP, is an exciting new way for RDK ASP members to get even more additional exposure with for their participation in RDK. It acts as an advertising platform for RDK community members to drive awareness of their products, services, skills and knowledge .To find out more, contact Glee Abraham at Glee_Abraham@comcast.comusing RDK Management Media.
